So we can design a custom site, using a modern static site generator (our favorite is Eleventy). And we can serve up static HTML/CSS/JS files that make your site inherently secure, and blazingly fast 🔥

Then what does CMS mean?

CMS is a Content Management System. You may have heard of some of the bigger players like Wordpress or Drupal. Frankly, you can think of Wix and Squarespace as a CMS too, but they are better defined as site builders. At the end of the day, a CMS, is a place for you to login and make content updates to your site.

Which is great! But it's extra cost and overhead that may not need right away.

Here's the thing... We can host a simple frontend only site for free. That can be a huge cost savings over monthly hosting.

Yeah, but what if I decide I want a CMS?

The good news is you're not locked in. Down the road, if you decide you'd like to add a CMS, that's no problem. We can add a CMS to an existing website via a headless CMS like Cloud Cannon. This is perfect, as it allows you to start small, and grow into a more full featured solution if needed.
